I thought I would post the first message for this Tribe =)
I happened to accidentally catch this film late one night on cable TV here in Australia and have absolutely fallen in love with it! Words can not express how much I adore this film.
So I ask of you to not be shy and post your thoughts on one of Germany's finest directors and his films Der Krieger und die Kaiserin!
Also wondering if any of you have seen/heard of Tom Tykwer's latest short film 'True' starring Natalie Portman and Melchoir Beslon (actor who played 'Otto')? "True is part of a compilation project entitled Paris, je t’aime, in which a number of internationally renowned directors each tell a story in one of Paris’ 20 arrondissements." I believe it has played at a few film festivals around Europe this year.
Here is a link I found on True:
www.german-cinema.de/archive...view.php
and a link to Tykwer’s production company:
www.x-filme.de/index2.html
Enjoy!
Warmest Regards
Dorz

Sat, June 5, 2004 - 4:22 AMHey Christina, no worries I thought this information would interest the people associated with the tribe.
I think the aussie film you are referring to is 'Idiot Box'. I haven't seen it but it sounds like that film. I found this link for you in case you wanted to see it again etc. movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movi...ovie.html
If you are into aussie cinematography I suggest you see 'The Castle' it's hilarious, or if you want something a little violent see 'Chopper' these films both star Eric Bana (The Hulk & Troy fame) one of our best exports in my opinion.
